Handmade Halloween Vintage Heirlooms from Grace Barzyz

The Handmade Halloween Collection from Grace Barzyz, was such an early hit, that Grace went back to her studio to make more spooky surprises. All of the wonderful masterpieces are so much more fabulous in person. All sparkly vintage papers and glitters, hand cut letters and silhouettes. If  you are looking for a unique Hostess, Halloween, or Thank You gift, we have been giving these and everyone just LOVES them! Of course, also wonderful if you want something a little special to decorate your own house for Halloween. All of these can me MAILED, so another great chance to shop at The Red Shed! Junk Bonanza 2010 Does Not Disappoint!

The 2010 Junk Bonanza in Minnesota, was once again, a delight to the eyes! Every Junker and Antiquer's Dream! Ki and her crew once again did an absolutely amazing job picking the vendors and creating and event to take your breath away...
This time we took a couple of friends from Texas along for the ride, so they could be miserable also, because we didn't have a truck to bring it all home. The talented Carolyn Westbrook who's new book "French Inspired Home" is just out, and her friend Carla.
From the moment she walked in, Carolyn just kept saying "Oh My!"
Creativity, great displays, and wonderful prices were in abundance....

The "Queens of Posh" squeeled when we met them....They said they had "made it to the Big Time" because the Red Shed Girls visited their booth (hee hee!) They had a darling booth..

Jane from Oh Mustard Moon!'s shop below...
And always my favorite...
Love these flowers...can you tell what they are made from?
So lucky to see fellow Texan, Margo ....
Take a look at this shirt made of PAPER!!
My favorite find! I didn't buy it at first, then totally obsessed until I could find it again...A HUGE spool of Vintage Chenille, just the right color...oh so soft...my mind was swimming with all the uses.. Already selling yardage in the shop wrapped around vintage French postcards! (will try to get some online soon!)

Wish we really DID have this truck to drive home!
Yep, we turned Carolyn and Carla into Red Shed Girls for the day. We had a teeny weeny little compact car, and all of us had treasures packed on our laps up to the roof!!

It was a GREAT DAY!!! PS. You can visit Carolyn's Shop, Carolyn Westbrook Home, at Zapp Hall at Round Top this weekend through October 2nd.

The Creative Connection Event, What an Event!

We had a fabulous time at the Creative Connection in Minnesota! Literally no creative detail that was left out of this event! There were wonderful gifts including this silver necklace that was designed by the amazing Lisa Leonard, just for the event!
These Great bags were absolutely FULL of free goodies and SWAG, but the BAG is the best, really heavy duty and holds a TON,...my new market bag..
Each meal was like having a Party at Martha Stewart's...X 10
Thanks to the Creative Genius of Christine Hoffman
The creative classes were phenomenal. (I didn't take any, but I saw the beautiful creations emerging from them!)
The entrepreneur panels were informative and inspiring, I wanted to LIVE at the "Smart Bar" and just suck the knowledge out of all these brilliant women!
Ree Drummond The Pioneer Woman & Jo Packham
We spent A LOT of time (& money!) at the Handmade Market and saw so many talented people and lovely displays....
