Paris, a View from the Top

Some of the most amazing views of Paris are not from the top of the Eiffel Tower or the Arc du Triomphe, they are actually from the top of this building....Tower Montparnasse
The tower is a Paris eyesore, and the Parisians absolutely hate it and for good reason. It was built on the left bank, and just a little too close to historical neighborhoods for comfort. As soon as it went up, they wanted to tear it down, but it didn't happen. It's one redeeming feature is a Really Great View....

What we buy at the Paris Flea Markets

We have had a couple of Great days at the Paris flea markets. On Saturday we spent the entire day at the Pte de Clignancort / St Ouen flea market, the oldest and one of the largest flea markets in the world! When we arrived back at our hotel, we had a progressive "show & tell". We wanted to see everyone's treasures and now you can too!
Sue and Dodie, our Ohio girls found fun bags, vintage fashion mags, cool spa water holder and the tiniest flower frog I have ever seen!

Paris Vintage Shopping Trip Day One

After a very exciting flight from Dallas, (we had to land in Newfoundland due to a medical emergency) we finally arrived in Paris to meet the rest of our group. Since the Dallas ladies were four hours late (we have ladies from Ohio, Maine, Illinois, Rhode Island, Maryland) we threw our luggage in our rooms and headed out the door for our first walking tour.
First to the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens..

We saw fabulous displays
Interesting Items everywhere...
So many textures and colors

The thrill of the Hunt that never disappointed
We filled the van to the top, then drove happily home after 3 perfect days of shopping bliss...

Bunnies, Roses, & Cool Old Stuff

4 Great Reasons to visit the Red Shed

Four Great Reasons to drop by the Red Shed!

Beyond the ordinary Easter decor, handmade and one of a kind...

Just in! Some really cool "old stuff"

Fresh from Antique Week in Round Top, we brought back a van FULL of the most fun, gorgeous, and unusual vintage and antiques we could find!

Fun "new stuff" Vintage style

We have been hunting and pecking to find that unique piece that has Red Shed Style. Love the vintage handwriting print and the magnet board made from chippy architectural pieces and hardware.

Roses, Roses, Roses

Our Rose Gardens are overflowing with beautiful, fragrant blooms! Bring your scissors or clippers and take home an armful! Someone told us this weekend that you should do something everyday that makes you Really Happy. Let us Thank You for making us happy! Clip some roses to brighten your Easter table. If we are not at the shop, please help yourself.

P.S. We just got in a new shipment of our Heavenly creme brulee Candles! (guess that's a fifth reason!)
