Anatomy of an Antique Window Sign

Here's a small project that I have been getting ready for the June 28th sale.
I had this great old cabinet front. Perfect wavy glass. Beautiful molding.

I painted the outside black, but left the molding natural. I then printed out the words I wanted to add, measured and attached them backwards, so that I could paint on the reverse side.

Results! For all those (like us) wishing they were in Paris!

See you all on June 28th!

  1. Oh la la, must be something in the air. I just bought 3 old window transoms and a fleur-des-lis stencil (I'm not a talented painter like Val) to create signs. Vive la France !!! Vive la Paris !! Miss you all.
