Altered Art Class, Collage 101, at the Red Shed

The first "Runs With Scissors" Art Class at the Red Shed was a fabulous, sold out success! A HUGE Thank you is extended to our instructors Jeanne Stregles & Michele Jones. They really went the extra mile to make the class special.

The tables were set with care.....

Where else but the Red Shed would you find center pieces made from silver trays and vintage loving cups on your Art Table?

Lest we should starve, Jeanne made homemade designer "Runs With Scissors" Cookies for each participant. They were YUMMY!!

There were lots....

And lots........
And Lots......

And Lots........
And Lots of supplies and papers and photos and baubles and beads to decorate our altered art greeting cards. The decorator papers were prepared and sewn along the edges ahead of time. Participants brought family photos that had been color copied. All the embellishments were included in the cost of the class!

We tried to listen carefully to our teachers....... Jeanne Stregles
And Michele Jones......
Then we cut and glued.......and glued and cut...
Happy, Happy Campers!

And the final results: JUST TOO CUTE!!!

LOVE this one...Michele M's dog Coco...The caption reads "Mother claimed I was a Tri-al"
and she is chewing on one of Michele's shoes which is her favorite past time!

Participants, Please leave a message and let us know what you thought of the class. And what about you, readers? Do you think everyone did a great job?

    Michele, Jeanne, Valarie and Michele,
Thank You so much for teaching and hosting the Collage 101 class. I have to admit I was a little nervous about coming... just getting to Kinko's and having the pictures copied was an accomplishment for me so I felt I wasn't prepared. I ran around my home trying to find some kind of personal embellishment to go with each picture, but my fears disappeared with all the wonderful choices of embellishments that were provided and the step by step information that was given on how to put our cards together. You did an amazing job! Everything turned out beautiful!

Please let me know if you will have another Collage class. I would like to sign up again!

    Thanks Tracy!
