Tuscany Italy Flea Market Antique Tour "The Antiques"!

How is the Antiquing in Italy? Lots of people know of the great treasure hunting in France, but the number one question about our Italy trips is ... How is the shopping?
We time our trips around the Flea Market dates in the city of Arezzo. Located at the top of a hill (as most Tuscan cities are...) , once a month, the entire city turns into a flea market!

Romantic Homes April 2013 Featured Paris Keys

We were so happy and Thankful when Romantic Homes featured Red Shed Antiques in their yearly April French addition.
Though they had called for photos, we really didn't know if we would have a paragraph or a page. We were so tickled when we found we had a several page spread and were the featured store in the Shopkeeping section!

We actually found out when our phone started ringing, with sweet customers good wishes. They knew before we did!
We've had lots of calls about the key ornaments that were featured on page 78. We were completely sold out, but we finally got back into the studio and made just a few more.
They are made from large antique French keys that we found in Provence. We add a handmade Paris graphic to a sparkly metal tag, a large dangling rhinestone,
and fuse a handwritten French script document from our personal collection to the back.
This photo was taken before hand dyed seam binding ribbon was added, but each key will include a ribbon. These are large keys from 4 - 6 inches. With tag, about 7 - 8 inches.
Hang them by a string or ribbon to adorn a lampshade, door handle, or use as a fan pull!
Buy now by using the button below. We only have 6. Shipping is FREE in the lower 48 and included for $24.95!

What's special about a Red Shed Tour?

The owners of Red Shed Tours have been professional travel planners for 20 years, AND we own an antique store in Historic Grapevine, Texas. After years of visiting the flea markets of Europe, our customers asked us to “take them with us!”, and that's exactly what we did. Each tour is designed to be truly the type of trip that we would love to take. One of our “secrets to success” is that we hire professional shopping guides who live and shop in our European destinations. These lovely ladies know all of the tiny little shops and interesting markets that are normally only frequented by locals. We only use the best guides, best transportation companies and high quality accommodations. We must be doing something right as most of our customers travel with us again and again.

Good Friday and even Better Saturday!

The Red Shed will be open on Good Friday, March 28 and March 29th. If you are off work, come see us! We have lots of fun Easter decor, and new items coming in daily.

Vintage Valentine Fabulous

It may seem weird for a shop owner, but I almost never buy anything for myself. Today I walked into Elsie Mae on Market in Mabank, TX, and fell in LOVE with this hand cut tin heart on a vintage cabinet door made by a total sweet "heart" Sherry Terry.

At first I thought I would put it on this shelf in my living room, but the size wasn't quite right..

So I moved it into my kitchen

And I love it there! I also thought I could tuck photos of my valentines..

(Hubby, Son, & Grandson).

Sherry cuts and grinds the vintage tin then turns them into beautiful art. Here is the inside heart, which I am bringing to the shop in Grapevine..

It will be there Monday! (Along with some smaller hearts hung on ribbon).

I HEART them! Nothing is better than handmade quality!
