Warrenton, Round Top, Marburger Farm 2010 Day 1

Wow! We just got back from the Warrenton, Round Top and Marburger Farms Antique Shows. What a beautiful and fun weekend we had! We stopped at every junky haunt that caught our fancy....We don't usually go for the rattan king cobra chairs...
But look what was inside of this little junk palace...just waiting for a Red Shed Girl fix up..
Our first stop before Round Top is always the La Bahia Show. Great prices and always some great finds......We love this vendor's displays....Look at the 15 foot harvest table...
Withe the most darling place settings........
Lots of great architectural junk....
Our goal was to make it down for Theresa of Garden Vintage Atqs Blog Party
There we made and renewed friendships. Here is Michele enjoying the company of Jo Packham of Where Women Create, and Heather Bullard, photographer and stylist recently for Flea Market Style Magazine
Val and Michele with Adrianna and Gina of Peacock Park Designs.

There was a "Blog Button" contest, and though we didn't find the time or inclination to be creative this time (we were lucky just to have found the place!) many creative ladies rose to the occasion! Here is Mindy from Primitiques.....

With her name tag made from a grave marker!
Theresa from Time Worn Interiors......
Created a complete montage or Vintage! (and won the contest)

This was amazing.....it was made in her hotel room with materials that she just happen to have on hand...
If any of you don't know Debbie from Talkin Trash... You just have to meet her! Sweet and Funny, she is a joy to behold...
Click below for a sideways movie of her version of a "creative blog tag" Talkin Trash

The party was fun, but the company was the greatest. Our host, Theresa's booth was just lovely this year.....

She had the most amazing thing we have seen in years A full body linen mannequin that hung from a stand. This too could be yours for only $895!

After a great dinner at Royer's and lots of laughs, good buys and goodbye's we made our way to our very, far away, sight unseen, hotel only to find it was not in a very good neighborhood. Note the microwaved wedged against the door....
And Michele sleeping in her sleeping bag on TOP of the bed...just in case...
Yes, it's a glamorous life! Stay tuned for Day 2......

  6. Isn't it just a shame that I'm so bashful? What a hoot...I didn't know I made it to the movies!

P.S. I still say I was robbed. BTW...y'all have an in-house artist that could make some badges that would steal the show!
