Huge Vintage Clocks and a Great Clock Story
Look at these two amazing clocks recently arrived at The Red Shed. We don't know exactly how old they are but they are actually from an old bank tower in West Texas. Right now they still have all of the workings attached if a skilled someone wanted them to work again, or they would be too wonderful as a BIG statement on a large wall. Designers? Here they are! SOLD & SOLD!

Now a great clock Story. Sweet Jennie came into the shop and said her friend had been eyeing the great clock below (It's one of our favorites, not old, but made by a great French company) and she wanted to buy it for her as a surprise. It was a little more than she (her friend, Gina) wanted to spend, but she had kept thinking about it. Jennie told me this story and I couldn't believe it because I had JUST received and email from Gina, asking if we still had the clock! Nothing is better than great friends that are so in tune they are almost on the same wave length!

EROS God of Love ** How is the Cupid Arrow Launched?
How is the Cupid's Arrow Launched? By Eros's Bow (Eros, Greek good of Love and Passion!), of course! Just in from Grace Barzyz. She has made this amazing Cupid's bow from an old architectural piece we had in the shop...(SORRY the pic is not great!! It is so cute!! It says "EROS") It is BIG, I would say about 4 1/2 feet tall
Gorgeous Gold and Glitter......look, even the bow line is covered in Glitter!
Wonderful detail on the letters....
And the whole bow is covered in Gold Cupid paper! $68.00
We have had lots of calls and emails asking what Vintage Valentines we have left. I have updated the Jan 14th Blog and the Jan 24th Blogs. If you do not see a SOLD, the items should still be available. Some were showing SOLD, but Grace made another, so they are in the shop. We do have 1 set of AMORE' Angel Wings, 1 LOVE banner, and 1 Italian Amore' piano roll left. Here are a couple of others that have not been featured in the past. ALL of these items are mailable, but maybe not in time for Valentines Day.
Put your present in this vintage heart shaped box is from Germany
This is so sweet and perfect to have in your bedroom all year long!

New items in the Red Shed. This poor/wonderful mirror silvering was badly damaged.
Rather than remove it, we have fused French documents to the back....lovely French calligraphy..
A beautiful Paris Parfumerie doc.....
And a soft pink Paris 1898 letter..... Now it's a show stopper!
More glamour, recently arrived!

Getting ready for the Big Show and Sale....Saturday Feb. 27th!

heART & Communion Silver Bella buddies meet at the Red Shed
We had a fun surprise last Friday when several ladies who were attending the heART & Communion art retreat in Dallas, dropped by the Red Shed. (though the art weekend is over, I had to include the darling invite below....LUV the great graphics!)
Heather Ales is a local Roanoke girl. Visit her BLOG, my (everyday) life.
Joanna has been by before, but we don't see her often enough! Visit her BLOG
Sandy is from California and describes herself as a cross between "Peg Bundy and Martha Stewart"! I look forward to following her BLOG.
Sandy and Cheryl. Cheryl is also from California, and her BLOG is called Inside the Bubble.
All of these ladies are very talented artists, and their Blogs are worth a peruse! Thanks Ladies, for dropping by The Red Shed!
Here are just a few items recently arrived at the Red Shed.....
Love this Buffet!! First of all.... PERFECT and unique to put a flat screen on! The coolest thing about it, and you never see, is there are 3 doors on the bottom. Honestly you could use this in your kitchen, bedroom, even imagine it in a bath with a vessel sink on top...Yum!
We've been a little short on occasional tables, but now they are coming in. The triple half lune is too darn cute and rare.
I'll post another photo of this later, but it's really cool. Door on the left, mirror on the right with iron door knocker and key plate. They are hinged together, but fold flat to be easily movable. Adds instant architectural interest to any room!
Great vintage patio chairs and table.
Start you engines, mark your calendars and get ready for our Big Saturday Sale on Feb 27th!

Vintage Valentines French Italian Amore' Je taime ** Take 2
Gorgeous Displays in the Red Shed, thanks to the talents of Michele Jones.........
In the past we have not sold a lot of Valentines Day decor at the Red Shed, because our Big Show and Sale is always a couple of weeks after Valentines, so I told Grace Barzyz, our new guest artist, not to make too much for Valentines. Well, Grace brought in the most beautiful things I had ever seen (see my post Jan 14), and two days after the post, it was all SOLD! I called Grace and said, "Grace, my dear, everything is gone!" She said "What do you mean?" (I think she thought we were robbed), I said "Everything is gone, its all sold!" She said, "When did this happen?", and I said "Yesterday and Today".....and she said..."But you told me not to make much for Valentines Day!" OK, so I have forgiven her for yelling at me and making her rich, but I also begged her to make more if she possibly could. She stayed up all night for about a week and we have a few more things in....so feast your eyes, then drop by the Shed for these limited treasures... Also, all of these items are MAILABLE for a reasonable amount, if you live out of state, just give us a call 817-310-6006
Grace made one more set of Amore' Angel Wings. For Up close pics and all the vintage details, see the Jan 14th post.. $58
Another gorgeous French Piano Roll, Paper flowers are made from vintage French book pages $38 SOLD!

There is also an Italian piano roll, that I didn't get a pic of, but similar to Jan 14 post $38
What is so great about these items, is that they are just "LOVE" based, can be used year round and some are even being used for wedding decor!
We have one more LOVE banner $34. If it's possible, I may like this one even more! The letters are nestled in tartlet tins, and look at the lace and vintage doily trim.....

She made one more of the large red hearts with cupid covered in music $28 (I know someone was looking for this so, please come back or call!) All of the sheet music decor is SO great for music lovers.
I think there is just ONE of the darling arrows left (See Jan 14 for detail photos) (Arrows all SOLD, dress form still available $140.00)
And there are just a few precious valentines left, all have vintage beaded hangers. $14
Hey, leave a nice message for Grace if you love her talent as much as we do. I think she would really appreciate it!
Drop by Mon - Fri 9 - 5 (and I will be there this coming Sat. 10 - 4 ) or give us a call 17-310-6006.
